Established in 2019 by a passionate group of volunteers, Bailiu na Banndan was born out of a desire to bring back the joy of a family fun festival to the heart of Bandon, West Cork. Since its inception, the festival has quickly become a beloved tradition, with smaller events scattered throughout the year.

Last year’s festival was a true highlight for the community. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant Color Run, the legendary Adult Fancy Dress Parade, Fireworks and a fun-filled Family Funday featuring a pet farm, DJ, and car boot sale and Kids Fancy Dress

So what's next?

The Bailiú na Banndan committee is very close to finialising the 2025 festival programme! This year promises to be as action-packed and exciting as ever, with a variety of events to entertain and delight attendees of all ages.

One of the festival’s highlights is the Festival Concert, taking place on Sunday, July 13th, at the Bandon GAA Complex. We are delighted to welcome back the legendary Fureys, who return to Bandon after their sell-out performance at the Marvel Marquee. Their soulful ballads and timeless classics are sure to create an unforgettable evening.

Joining them as the support act is the incredibly talented Danny O’Leary, a name well-known and loved throughout West Cork and beyond.
